The box was closed like a coffin lid. It felt good to try to bury the past. It meant that the healing could be start. There is no expiration date on grief or end to the mourning but it will take on different forms as the days pass. Honor the past, respect it. Smile at your memories, cry when needed about the mess that has been made. It won't hurt less but the focus will be clear. Focus on going forward and into the light of the present day. The dawn will be for your worries and the dusk for the memories. You'll stop drinking one to remember and fifteen to forget. Don't be numb.
You can't control others but you have control over yourself and your emotions. Work with this for optimum results.
